Dr. Powell Named Team Phyisician of Frisco Cycling Club

(FRISCO, Texas) September 27, 2007 — The Frisco Cycling Club has announced the appointment of Dr. Gregory Powell as its official physician.


“We are so pleased to have Dr. Powell as a part of our team,” said Jeff Ellis, Frisco Cycling Club vice president. “Our organization is growing so rapidly in the Frisco area, and having an avid cyclist as the club’s official doctor will benefit all our members.”


Dr. Gregory Powell is a board-certified physiatrist with Associated Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. He holds a secondary board certification in Pain Medicine and specializes in non-operative treatment of sports injuries and spine disorders. Dr. Powell earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, and conducted his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. There, he served as chief resident for the Department of Rehabilitation.


In addition to his Frisco practice, Dr. Powell also serves as the Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Southwestern Medical School’s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is a Lieutenant Colonel with the U.S. Army Reserve.

About the Frisco Cycling Club (FCC)
