Dr. Gregory Powell

Dr. Powell completed his internship at the Hospital of the University of Pittsburg and his residency with the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. While there, he had the distinction of serving as the Academic Chief Resident for the department. He graduated in 1993 and received his board certification by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 1994. He later earned board certification in Pain Medicine by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2003.

In addition to his practice, Dr. Powell has taught extensively, speaking to numerous groups around the country. He is a former Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and a former Clinical Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University Medical School. Dr. Powell is a recognized expert with the Texas Worker's Compensation System. He is a national speaker and course director for Spinal Injection Courses with the North American Spine Society.

Dr. Powell resides in Plano with his wife and three children. He is an avid triathlete and water skier.

Dr. Powell has served with the Army National Guard since 1986, and is currently a Lieutenant Colonel with the U.S. Army Reserve.
