Dr. Michael Schwartz

Dr. Michael Schwartz is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine and arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Schwartz joined Associated Orthopedics & Sports Medicine as partner in 1998.

Dr. Schwartz graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education of The City University of New York in 1990, and received his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine.

Dr. Schwartz pursued additional surgical training at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center in New York State, and completed his residency at the University of New York at Stony Brook.

In addition, Dr. Michael Schwartz has chaired the department of Orthopedics at the Medical Center of Plano. He presently serves as an Associate Clinical Instructor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center’s Physician Assistant Program.

Dr. Schwartz is an active member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and a fellow with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He also belongs to the Texas Medical Association, the Dallas County Medical Society, and the Texas Orthopedic Association.
